In the News

See how CareQuest Institute’s work is influencing the industry.

Research is one of five Areas of Activation at CareQuest Institute for Oral Health. It’s an integral part of our strategy to improve the oral health system and build a future where every person can reach their full potential through excellent health.  Research is also one of our most prolific areas.
Scott Howell, DMD, MPH, is an associate professor and director of public health dentistry and teledentistry at A.T.
For Dr. Mina Paul and Dr. Brianna Hillier, teledentistry has been an invaluable addition to their daily work. “Teledentistry is here to stay, and I am absolutely an advocate,” said Paul. “There’s a lot more we can do.”

Alex Sheff is co-director of policy and government relations at Health Care For All (HCFA), a consumer health advocacy organization that supports health justice in Massachusetts by working to promote health equity and ensure coverage and access for all. Since 2004, CareQuest Institute for Oral Health has helped fund HCFA’s critical work around oral health in the Commonwealth.

Nathan Fletcher, DDS, is the dental director at AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia, a Medicaid insurance company. He is chairman of the Board of Trustees and past president of the National Dental Association (NDA) and former NDA executive director.
Derek M. Griffith is a founding co-director of the Racial Justice Institute, founder and director of the Center for Men’s Health Equity, and professor of Health Systems Administration and Oncology at Georgetown University.
