What can we learn from the oral health attitudes, experiences, and behaviors of adults living in the United States? And how can that knowledge help oral health teams expand access and improve outcomes?
Join CareQuest Institute for a webinar at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, as we unpack findings from our fourth annual State of Oral Health Equity in America (SOHEA) survey. This year, more than 9,000 adults — the largest survey of its kind — provided insights around the value of cultural humility, the frequency of emergency room visits, and the importance of having insurance. To shine a light on the most compelling takeaways from the survey, a diverse panel of experts — including dentists, advocates, and researchers — will discuss how the findings influence providers, policymakers, and other oral health stakeholders.
Learning Objectives
- List at least three significant findings from the State of Oral Health Equity in America survey.
- Recognize how racial, ethnic, and economic disparities can negatively influence access to oral health care and patient outcomes.
- Discuss how the oral health experiences of adults living in the United States can influence clinical practice, policy development, and advocacy.
