The DentaQuest Partnership is hosting a live 90-minute virtual session on Value-Based Care and what it means for Oral Health. Our presenters will share examples of value-based care concepts, realistic alternative payment models and why value over volume is necessary to improve oral health for all. We encourage all participants to engage in meaningful conversation about the future of oral health care delivery for Dental Service Organizations as we explore the opportunities and barriers to transitioning into a value-based care delivery system.
OBJECTIVE: Educate and engage with Dental Service Organization leadership about value-based care in oral health and what they and their teams should consider as they transition into a value-based care system and payment design.

Dr. Carolyn Brown, DDS, MAEd, is a Senior Strategic Advisor for the DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement. She is an experienced healthcare management consultant, speaker and researcher. Dr. Brown served as a clinical dentist and dental director for several federally qualified health centers since 2002 and has led teledentistry projects in FQHCs since 2009. Dr. Brown’s consulting work focuses on value-based care, medical-dental integration, teledentistry, quality improvement, and the patient journey.
