Description

Oral health disparities persist among Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities, and traditional data aggregation often overlooks the unique challenges of these diverse populations. Without disaggregated data, the specific needs of these communities remain hidden.

Join CareQuest Institute, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO), and the National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA) for a webinar that will explore the power of disaggregated data in addressing oral health disparities. Our experts will also discuss the historical context and cultural nuances of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities and share resources to ensure these communities are more accurately represented and positioned at the center of their care.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain the importance of culturally responsive perspectives in the context of oral health disparities among AA and NH/PI communities.
  • Assess how disaggregated data enhances the visibility and representation of AA and NH/PI communities in health statistics.
  • Formulate strategies to leverage disaggregated data in creating targeted interventions for better oral health outcomes in AA and NH/PI communities.
