The Bi-State Primary Care Association will implement a multi-faceted two-state strategy of education, networking and policy activities. Bi-State will promote the integration of oral health in primary care settings in 19 FQHCs in New Hampshire and Vermont through education and advocacy. The education strategy is designed to increase organizational, clinical, and leadership capacity within Bi-State and its member CHCs. Assistance from the DentaQuest Institute Safety Net Solutions team will help CHC dental programs maximize efficiency and ensure financial sustainability. Bi-State will encourage its members to share best practices at member meetings, a Quality Improvement Workgroup, a website, and a new Safety Net Oral Health Forum and will work with member centers, dental societies, private dentists and state agency staff on the joint policy goals of fair reimbursement from Medicaid for all dentists and implementation of oral health benefits fro pregnant women covered by NH Medicaid.
