The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics will work to increase oral health attitudes, skills and knowledge of the Pennsylvania medical community so access to preventive care for all children under 5 years is increased, that oral health concepts are a priority among families and considered an integral part of overall health, and that there is an active, sustainable statewide oral health collaborative network to serve as a platform for cultural and policy change on behalf of young children. AAP/PA will establish five regional networks of supportive, collaborative medical, dental and educational professionals to act as agents for local oral health policy change. AAP/PA will collaborate with key stakeholders to integrate oral health into the Patient Centered Medical Home.
