Oregon Oral Health Coalition will work to integrate oral health into its coordinated health care system in ways that are comprehensive, that ensure continuity throughout the lifespan, that are coordinated with other health care delivery, and which emphasize prevention and management of oral diseases within a chronic disease model. As part of this, the coalition will work with coordinated care organizations to train non-dental care providers, establish data for key outcome measures including use of fluoride varnish in the Oregon Oral Health Surveillance System, adopt evidence-based practices for early childhood caries prevention statewide, and deliver consistent messaging, and anticipatory guidance.
