Maryland Dental Action Coalition will implement a plan to enhance medical-dental collaboration among oral health and health professionals and case managers. It will train medical and dental professionals to provide oral health assessments, anticipatory guidance, preventive oral health services through coordinated care, and improve deficits in oral health competencies of health professionals. The plan also includes promotion of comprehensive oral health policies in organizations, institutions and regulations to support collaboration. Maryland Dental Action Coalition will provide support for individual behavior change through education and community resources, enhancing the sharing and dissemination of oral health preventive practices through an oral health knowledge management system.
