The Children's National Medical Center will implement a plan that includes regulatory and policy changes, increased access to information and data sharing, and education and training for providers in order to increase access to care for pediatric patients within the District of Columbia. Children's National will work to create a supportive culture of collaboration between medical and dental providers through referral programs, convene district-wide colloquia, establish a reimbursement mechanism for medical and dental providers to apply fluoride varnish to Medicaid children and track this using the DC Immunization Registry, and work with schools to improve their oral health assessment forms and facilitate data sharing among key District stakeholders (e.g., DHCF, DOH, OSSE).
