North Florida Medical Centers will establish and implement a school-based program that will provide oral health education, dental exams and applications of dental sealants and fluoride varnish to 2nd through 5th grade children in Okaloosa County. By taking the 'health center' beyond its four walls, North Florida Medical Center is addressing access barriers and providing important preventive and restorative care and prevention education to children. Referral to additional services not available at the school-based site will also be available.
