The Florida Dental Hygiene Association will implement the Head Start Dental Home Initiative. This pilot program will ensure that Head Start/Early Head Start (HS/EHS) children in Orange County have access to and receive comprehensive oral health services in a dental home. Utilizing the learnings from Massachusetts and Pennsylvania Head Start Programs, FPHA will implement a system of care approach by engaging dental hygienists as community care coordinators with access to a wide network of dental and medical providers. The innovative pilot will serve as a model for statewide expansion.
