HRIA will create a detailed and comprehensive plan for developing and implementing a local community-based social marketing strategy to support Community Water Fluoridation (CWF). Through community input via focus groups, coalition development and individual interviews, the campaign will be community-driven and aligned with community need. Ongoing technical assistance and coalition support will cultivate leadership at the local level to implement lasting changes. Tools developed by HRiA through this grant can be shared and used by other parties across the United States who are interested in mobilizing communities in support of CWF. Key learnings and best practices will be shared with national partners for more widespread dissemination. The aim is increasing access to CWF as an important preventive measure, leading to improved oral health status for populations at large.
