The grant facilitates purchase of equipment for a dental clinic. The Council provides care to over 1200 patients in 30 towns in rural areas of central Maine. The expansion of the clinic will provide services to underserved patients in a high-need region and will also become a satellite teaching center for the University of New England's new Dental School. This funding is a direct response to an urgent community need in a rural area for an underserved population.
