Funding supports the Illinois Primary Health Care Association (IPHCA) in the development and implementation of “Oral Health Enhancement through TIPS (Training, Integration, Policy, and SNS Consultation)” to strengthen the oral health safety net in Illinois by improving the delivery of oral health care and prevention at Illinois Community Health Centers. Through this project, IPHCA will provide technical assistance to selected health centers for developing actionable strategies for enhancing access to quality oral health services, and to achieve and maintain financial viability; prepare CHC based oral health clinicians to assume leadership roles through trainings; augment current opportunities available through IPHCA’s clinical programs for oral health and primary care professional interactions; and collaborate with local, state and national entities to increase public and private funding for oral health initiatives in Illinois. IPHCA is well qualified to successfully implement the proposed plan by leveraging their committed leadership, well trained staff, existing programs and collaborations.
