This program will create a multi-stakeholder, dental-medical collaborative designed to sustainably transform oral health care delivery to more than half a million low-income children in California, with the potential to reach upwards of 900,000 across the state. Program focus will include cross-disciplinary provider engagement; innovative, statewide public agency purchasing strategies that drive medical/dental collaboration among providers and across health and dental plans; use of aggressive oral health care performance goals/measures; and the expansion of oral health education and screening in community settings.
