This project seeks to engage Arizona tribes, urban Indian organizations, the Indian Health Service, and key federal, state, public and private sector oral health stakeholders in a strategic planning effort to organize a statewide Indian oral health coalition; develop vision, mission, goals, objectives, activities, and timelines emphasizing concepts of collaboration, partnerships and leveraging resources; and develop communications protocols, public relations and marketing strategy. These steps will serve to improve the oral health of Arizona’s Indian communities by building knowledge and capacity among tribes and urban Indian communities; addressing research and data needs to inform strategies for achieving community goals and objectives; and resource development through regulatory reform, public policy and partnerships.
