The NJ Pediatric Council on Research and Education (PCORE), the quality improvement arm for American Academy of Pediatrics NJ Chapter, in partnership with a group of cross-disciplinary constituents (NJ Dental Association, family support and state agencies, HMOs, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) and other stakeholders seek to ensure access to pediatric oral health care for underserved children. AAP NJ Chapter, PCORE, and the Oral Health Stakeholder group have established three workgroups that will specifically address: Changing Attitudes & Behaviors of Pediatricians and Dentists; Changing Attitudes & Behaviors in Communities, and Financing Pediatric Oral Health. The workgroups will work collaboratively to develop statewide strategic plans addressing the three selected issues, for implementation in 2012.
