Funding supports Kentucky Youth Advocates’ (KYA) efforts to create systems-level policy change and promote evidence-based practices to improve the oral health of Kentuckians through the launch of the statewide Kentucky Oral Health Coalition. KYA has assembled key stakeholders, convened a steering committee, and coordinated a statewide oral health assessment. As part of the Coalition’s launch in 2012, the Steering Committee will identify potential policy priorities based on findings from a statewide assessment and unite stakeholders around a common agenda. The timing is right to launch a statewide coalition that will bring key stakeholders together key to create sustainable change and improve the oral health of Kentuckians.
