This grant will improve the mechanisms through which resources are delivered to school nurses to support oral health education of Pre-K through third grade children with the goal of changing perceptions of oral health, and encouraging/improving collaborations between school nurses and oral health professionals in states and communities. The work is part of a larger National Oral Health Awareness and Educational Campaign sponsored by the ADA, ADA Foundation and Scholastic. The end product is a national school-based awareness and educational program designed to educate Pre-K through third grade children and their parents on the benefits of good oral health and cavity prevention.
