This project will finalize transition of Maryland's Dental Action Committee formed to respond to a specific crisis, to a sustainable statewide oral health coalition. MDAC's goals include the creation and implementation of a statewide oral health plan, hosting an Oral Health Heroes event for 2011 and a statewide oral health summit to pull stakeholders together regarding the implementation of the state plan, creating a membership recruitment campaign, assisting with ongoing oral health projects by member organizations and the Maryland Office of Oral Health. MDAC will partner with other statewide oral health coalitions to collaborate on best practices in an effort to make Maryland a national model for oral health coalitions.
