In conjunction with the Central Massachusetts AHEC Outreach Worker Training Institute, the Massachusetts Association of Community Health Workers delivered 8 oral health trainings across the state, reaching 84 community health workers with a goal of elevating awareness, knowledge and skills in promoting oral health to their clients. MACHW will now conduct an in depth evaluation to determine the effectiveness of the trainings and determine the extent of applied learnings and barriers. Eight new workshops will be conducted. IMACHW will also gather information on other community health worker models in Massachusetts and other states.
