Support to Children’s National Medical Center to implement a plan to implement regulatory and policy changes, increase access to information and data sharing, and educate and train providers to increase access to care for pediatric patients within the District of Columbia. Children’s National create a supportive culture of collaboration between medical and dental providers through referral programs, convening district-wide colloquia, establish a reimbursement mechanism for medical and dental providers to apply fluoride varnish to Medicaid children, establish tracking mechanisms for fluoride varnish application using the DC Immunization Registry, working with schools to improve their oral health assessment forms, and facilitating data sharing amongst key stakeholders (e.g. DHCF, DOH, and OSSE) within the district.
