Support to the Mississippi State Department of Health to implement a plan to ensure that children and families have access to preventative and comprehensive dental services through the collective work of medical and dental professionals. Key stakeholders will collaborate to disseminate oral health promotional materials aligned with the national Ad Council campaign, engage medical professionals in oral health screening and preventive service provision, partner with community-based organizations to develop creative methods of integrating oral health education within their programs, and build support for school-based oral health prevention programs. The Mississippi Oral Health Coalition (MOCHA) will develop the necessary leadership skills within the state to effectively champion oral health by supporting regional coalitions to build their capacity to advocate for community needs.
