Continued funding to The National Association of School Nurses (NASN) to support Oral Health Connections: Parent/Nurse Partnerships, a program for school nurses featuring video messaging to reach nurses, parents, and community partners through web-based links and email messages, and evidence-based resources to enhance the oral health component of school nursing practice. The NASN will continue to address the needs of school nurses and school staff by creating sustainability in their Oral Health Connections website and program. NASN improves the health and educational success of children and youth by developing and providing leadership to advance school nursing practice. In this effort, NASN has elevated oral health awareness through their Oral Health Connections website and will enhance these efforts with the addition of a targeted three-part video media campaign and complementary, downloadable online resources. By employing a multimedia approach that is targeted at registered school nurses and can be shared with parents and families, NASN is creating a resource that will enhance the system of oral health care and literacy for school nurse professionals and the students and families they serve.
