Support to the HIV Alliance ORAL Dental program to provide services to people living with HIV/AIDS in 22 out of the 36 counties in Oregon. HIV Alliance is requesting funds for the equipment necessary to expand the satellite clinic program to provide dental services to HIV-positive individuals living in Linn, Benton, Polk, Marion, and possibly Lincoln counties. The HIV Alliance ORAL program is an established organization that provides comprehensive dental services to an underserved, dispersed rural population through a network of partnerships with dental schools and HIV/AIDS service providers. It is the only program in the county that partners with a community college dental hygiene and assisting program with a non-profit organization to provide dental services to people living with HIV/AIDS. The equipment requested will expand services to this high-need group.
