Dentist for the Disabled and Elderly in Need of Treatment, Inc. (D-DENT) is a statewide organization in Oklahoma that connects low-income, uninsured seniors, veterans, IDD adults and those with life threatening illnesses access to free dental services that are provided by their volunteer dental professionals, a database of over 500 individuals.

Annually, D-DENT provides complete restorative oral care to 500 - 600 individuals, statewide. In 38 years, D-DENT has helped over 19,000 people with a donated dental value that exceeds $29 million dollars. The costs associated with programs are 85% operational and 15% restorative lab fees. The lab fees are incurred when dentures, partials, crowns, or root canals are required. Those costs are covered by grants.

D-DENT has increased the number of Community Dental Days (CDD) from one or two per year to 10 or more a year. Last fiscal year, (July 2023-June 2024) D-DENT provided 11 Community Dental Days statewide. As of today, D-DENT has 6 CDD's scheduled through December 2024 including one in Southeastern Oklahoma and two in Southwestern Oklahoma. D-DENT is actively pursuing partnerships that will allow them to conduct CDD's in the remaining two regions of the state by early spring.

Funding is requested to help support a Community Dental Day in rural Oklahoma. The requested amount is less than 1% of the organization’s overall operating budget.
