This investment supports the Ohio Public Health Association as the fiscal agent in the development of the National Coalition of Dentists for Health Equity, which was established to create a forum and voice for dentists across the US who believe that health equity, especially oral health equity, must be addressed if disparities in health status are to be reduced or eliminated. The NCDHE will establish their role as a strategic partner to advocate for oral health equity, and bring oral health to the forefront of nation-wide health discussions. This investment provides support for necessary start-up costs including registration fees with government offices, IRS application fees, establishing and maintaining a website, and creating a video conferencing platform.
