Grantee Address

United States

Community Servings will continue its work, in partnership with the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation (CHLPI) of Harvard Law School and a statewide steering committee of community and public sector organizations, to disseminate and implement a Food is Medicine (FIM) State Plan for Massachusetts. Based on thorough assessment in the first grant year, they have developed a report containing concrete policy recommendations that healthcare organizations and state agencies can use to improve access to FIM over time. In 2019, Community Servings and CHLPI will execute a launch event for the report; implement a statewide dissemination plan, including regional events and supporting three workgroups to operationalize the plan; and share their process recommendations and learnings more broadly nationwide with partners interested in creating similar plans in other states. $30,000 will support staff time at Community Servings and CHLPI, as well as marketing, communication, and operational support for the launch events.
