This investment provides support to the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers (Mass League) to serve as the central agent in support of Primary Care Associations (PCAs) participating in the National Oral Health Innovation and Integration Network (NOHIIN). NOHIIN's mission is to unify and empower a network of PCAs and safety net providers to be champions of oral health as a part of overall health. In 2019, NOHIIN will go through a strategic planning process to set its long-term objectives for the year and beyond. Mass League will support and provide coordination for this process as it has been identified as a gap for NOHIIN. In addition, during the year, Mass League is charged with the following: serve as the communications and coordination hub for NOHIIN as a whole, monitor and promote progress towards NOHIIN's goals and objectives in 2019, produce a monthly newsletter highlighting important state and national oral health activities, trainings and funding opportunities; and coordinate with national partners, including the DentaQuest Partnership, to support the development and dissemination of strategies and value-based payment models that effectively integrate oral health. $70,800 will be used to support personnel time to coordinate and lead the implementation of this work, travel and meeting costs for trainings and strategic planning sessions, and other administrative costs associated with the project's implementation.
