Texas: This investment supports the Harris County Hospital District Foundation to provide critical dental care to the Homeless population in the Houston, Texas area. The Mobile Dental Program for the Homeless travels to fourtneen homeless shelters to provide services. $29,182 will fund mobile equipment to be used in a new mobile van, allowing an increase of visits from 2,400 in 2013 to over 4,000 once the mobile dental van is fully equipped. Grant funds provided through the Community Response Fund will improve access to care for the homeless population.
