Funding to support Nevada Health Centers, Inc. to purchase a new operatory chair to increase the efficiency of the Elko Family Dental Center. The Elko Family Dental Center is the only dental center in Elko that accepts Medicaid and offers a sliding fee schedule for the uninsured. While the office has two dentists, the clinic only has one functioning chair, which causes long wait times for patients in need of services. The addition of a second chair will allow the clinic to serve twice as many patients and significantly reduce the wait time to see a dentist. Supporting Nevada Health Centers, Inc. aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to meeting emergency community needs and reducing barriers to oral health access. Grant funds will support the purchase of a new operatory chair.
