Funding to support the Minnesota Dental Foundation to hold their third Mission of Mercy (MOM) event July 25-26, 2014 in Mankato, MN. In addition to providing free dental care and eliminating the unmet oral health needs for people in Minnesota by, activities will include: initiating and supporting programs that provide dental services to underserved communities; encouraging and supporting volunteerism within the dental professional and promoting careers in dentistry, especially in underserved areas. The event will engage local politicians, business professionals, and members of the philanthropic communities to highlight the unmet oral health needs of low-income Minnesotans and create necessary policy change to improve public care programs in the state. Grant funds will support equipment and supplies for the event.
