Funding to support The National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) 2014 Annual Conference: Leading Change Through Innovative Solutions May 19-21 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference shares examples of PHIs working in close collaboration with state and local health departments, community-based organizations, universities, and other multi-sector partners to support the implementation of health transformation initiatives. Conference topics include health equity, evidence-based public health, and discussion related to sustainability for public health institutes. The content of the annual conference is designed primarily by NNPHI members and showcases innovations and trends in supporting healthy communities on the federal, state, and local levels. The Conference align with the Foundation’s commitment to strong community prevention and care infrastructure by exploring the role of public health institutes in developing new strategies, new partnership opportunities, and innovative approaches that are leading population health improvement. Grant funds will be used to host a speaker to address the conference participants on a subject related to oral health during a scheduled onsite lunch or during a breakout session.
