Funding to support the Annual Oral Cancer Foundation Walk/Run for Awareness hosted by the Student National Dental Association (SNDA) at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry to take place at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, MD on May 3rd, 2014. The OCF is a national public service, non-profit entity designed to reduce suffering and save lives through prevention, education, research, advocacy, and patient support activities. OCF’s mission is to contribute to the reduction of suffering, permanent physical damage and disfigurement, and death caused by this disease. This event aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to strong community prevention and care infrastructure by spreading awareness and reducing suffering through research, advocacy and support activities. The Foundation’s donation will contribute OCF's source of unrestricted support that impacts every aspect of the foundation's mission. These gifts enable OCF to respond more rapidly to new ideas in the battle against oral cancer. The Foundation’s support will benefit the areas of greatest need and greatest promise including research and raising awareness and early detection.
