This investment supports equipping a Dental Surgical Suite that will focus on special needs populations, including children, disabled, handicapped, and elderly patients that require sedation in the Augusta, Virginia county. The use of operating rooms for these procedures has been severely restricted, which has created lengthy wait times and a back log for these underserved populations. Funds will be used to purchase two pieces of equipment in order to improve access to care for an underserved population.
