National: Support to the Marymount University to publish research findings of the study on the time lost due to acute dental care among school-going children in the Health Behavior and Policy Review, a peer-reviewed scholarly publication. Using the 2008 National Health Interview Survey data collected by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the study estimated the total number of work and school hours missed by employed individuals and school-going children due to visits to the dentist and the emergency room. $1,325 will primarily cover the publication, online open access, and copy-editing service fees. The proposal aligns with the Oral Health 2020 goal of improving public perception of the value of oral health within overall health and the target that oral health is increasingly included in health dialogue and public policy.
