National: Support from the DentaQuest Foundation President’s Fund for a reception to be held at the Healthy Futures: Engaging the Oral Health Community in Childhood Obesity Prevention National Conference on November 3–4, 2016, in Washington, DC. November 3, 2016, following the first day of a national conference. The purpose of the reception is to further the exchange of information related to the conference presentations and ensuing structured sessions and to facilitate connections and collaboration between conference attendees to promote the implementation of proposed childhood-obesity-prevention strategies. The reception will include remarks that will highlight the importance of creating public-private partnerships to achieve conference outcomes and the important role of government agencies, professional associations, and philanthropies, such as the DentaQuest Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, in such efforts.
