Illinois: Established as a free medical clinic in 2001, Tri City Health Partnership (TCHP) in the only free clinic in central Kane County, IL providing access to free dental and medical care five days a week to individuals who have incomes at or below and up to 250% of the federal poverty level who are uninsured or underinsured.The clinic is one block from the local homeless shelter, approximately 42% of those served are currently unemployed and have little or no access to care for their medical and dental needs. Initial funding for a dental operatory expansion was provided in 2015 for a remodeling process and purchase of new items such as x-ray equipment/software, computers and scheduling software as well as various dental instruments and the autoclave equipment. However, the original used-chair and light that was purchased has continued to provided challenges and is often out of service of under repair. Community Response Fund support is requested for the purchase of a new dental chair, overhead dental light, and post to replace an existing chair and light that are no longer working properly within the clinic's dental program.
