The NOHCT (National Oral Health Connection Team) is a group of oral health leaders from all levels of the network (grasstops, grassmiddles, grassroots) that bring a diverse range of knowledge and experience from a variety of sectors that impact oral health (providers, public health workers, community advocates, educators, and representatives of professional organizations). The NOHCT has been formed to affirm and support the needs of the growing network of stakeholders dedicated to system changes that will improve oral health across the lifespan. This team will work in the coming years to serve the needs of the national oral health network by: Monitoring progress of the Oral Health 2020 goals and targets; Developing consistent messaging and evaluating its impact, revising to best fit needs of the network; Identifying and providing resource and capacity-building needs; Understanding policy advances; Working towards health equity and efforts to reduce disparities; Weaving together the national network, engaging and connecting with people from grasstops to grassroots; finding and bringing in those in the margins and periphery; Partnering with DQF to create a separate entity that will serve as the backbone organization for the national oral health movement.
