Idaho: Support to the Trustees of Tufts College - Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to develop a behavioral and communication theory-based social marketing campaign to integrate dental hygienists in the delivery of messages aimed at preventing the initiation of methamphetamine use among Idaho adolescents, with the ultimate goal of reducing morbidity and mortality related to methamphetamine use in this population. This campaign would combine dental public health with adolescent substance use prevention, specifically targeting methamphetamine use. Funding from DentaQuest Foundation in the amount of $19,915 would provide Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with the formative research necessary to finalize this novel intervention, which could then be adapted for use in other geographic areas.
