National: This investment supports the New York University College of Nursing to co-host an Interprofessional Oral-Systemic Health National Symposium in September 2016. The Symposium will examine the integration of oral systemic health as a vital health issue across diverse policy, research, education, and clinical practice systems. Closely aligned with Oral Health 2020 Goal 5 (Integrate Oral Health into Person-Centered Health Care), the Symposium will provide a national forum for dissemination of effective evidence-based national initiatives and models that advance Goal 5’s target of integrating oral health into at least 50 percent of emerging person-centered care models. $25,000 will be used to cover travel expenses and honoraria for keynote, plenary, and panel speakers.
