National: Support to the New York University College of Nursing at the College of Dentistry to continue in its role as leader of the Oral Health Nursing Education and Practice (OHNEP) Initiative. OHNEP will continue to engage the nursing profession through multiple methodologies to move the field in both educational and practice settings towards greater support for and awareness of the oral health needs of patients. The proposal advances the systems change outcome of integrating oral health into all aspects of healthcare. This work is a key contribution to the Oral Health 2020 Environmental Support of Interprofessional Education and Coordinated Care, and leverages the driver of care provider engagement to move things forward. $267,438 will support staff time associated with coordinating the iniaitive, as well as convening and travel expenses.
