National Nonprofit Commends President’s Commitment to Improving Medicare and to Lowering Health Care Costs.
Following the Presidential State of the Union Address, CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, a leading national nonprofit focused on creating a more accessible, equitable, and integrated oral health system, commended President Joe Biden’s commitment to improving access and care in the Medicare system and to lowering health care costs.
CareQuest Institute for Oral Health CEO and President Dr. Myechia Minter-Jordan issued the following statement:
“We applaud President Biden’s commitment to improving access and care in the Medicare system and lowering health care costs for Americans across the country, including by allowing Medicare to negotiate lower prices for prescription drugs. The savings generated by these policy changes can and should be used to further strengthen the Medicare program by including comprehensive dental coverage for 26 million seniors and people living with disabilities. Health care is a right, not a privilege and all Americans deserve access to affordable, quality health care, including oral health. CareQuest Institute shares the President’s dedication to improving the health and well-being of millions of people across this country, especially those in marginalized communities. We will continue to work with the Biden Administration and our other partners to not just imagine a healthier future for all Americans, but to fight for it each day through our work.”
