The board members at the CareQuest Institute for Oral Health have something to smile about: They’ve found a veteran health care executive to be the nonprofit’s new chief executive.
Wade Rakes recently joined CareQuest as its CEO, leaving a top role at health insurance giant Centene Corp. to come to Boston. Rakes takes over for Myechia Minter-Jordan, who left CareQuest last year to lead AARP in Washington; CareQuest board chair Pam Reeve has been filling in as interim chief executive since Minter-Jordan’s departure.
