From roundtable discussions about applying silver diamine fluoride (SDF), to seminars highlighting the importance of expanding state Medicaid adult dental benefits, to connecting with attendees about the latest oral health research, CareQuest Institute will have a prominent presence at the National Oral Health Conference (NOHC). The 2023 conference is scheduled from Monday, April 17 to Wednesday, April 19 at the Double Tree by Hilton Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
NOHC offers educational sessions on a diverse array of topics by leaders in the field and is designed for anyone interested in improving the public’s oral health. Attendees will range from dentists, dental hygienists, and health researchers to state/territorial dental directors, students, and dental insurance companies.
“I am excited to attend NOHC for the first time to share CareQuest Institute’s work around value-based care,” says Caroline McLeod, RDH, MS, value-based solutions manager at CareQuest Institute. “And I’m excited to learn from innovative organizations and communities across the nation to collaborate on opportunities for a more accessible, equitable, and integrated oral health system.”
John Gabelus, grants and programs associate at CareQuest Institute, shared a similar sentiment.
“As someone who doesn't have a professional background in oral health, I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity to share some community-centered insights on how oral care solutions can be developed and delivered in the future,” he said.
McLeod and Gabelus are just two of several representatives from CareQuest Institute and CareQuest Innovation Partners (a for-profit subsidiary of CareQuest Institute) who will attend the conference to share and learn about updates in the oral health industry. Kelly Schroeder, RDH, MS, health science specialist at CareQuest Institute, is looking forward to sharing research and collecting some qualitative data.
“Hearing directly from individuals who are delivering transformational dental care is an important part of knowing what works and what doesn’t work for patient care delivery,” she says.
Schroeder will provide a poster presentation on transformational dental care.
She and the rest of team will connect with partners and attendees in two ways — at the CareQuest Institute and CareQuest Innovation booths and in the education sessions. (Meet representatives from CareQuest Institute at Booth 202 for a few rounds of “Guess the Data” and maybe win a prize!)
